First Time in a Long Time

When I looked in the mirror, as I do every morning, I saw myself;

For the first time in a long time, 

My Strengths, my weaknesses, my flaws.

Through my continuous struggle for perfection, I am now able to see past my influences, challenges, and temptation;

For the first time in a long time.

I am perfect because….I Am.

My pure existence has destroyed all doubt and all fear.

I am whole. I am sure.

For the first time in a long time,

Now I must work.

For the first time in a long time.

I may get tired, and I may even get fired,

But I will not quit;

Not on myself, my goals, my passions, or my responsibilities.

For the first time in a long time.
